Barr To Take Conservative Leaders On Bus Tour Through His District

Trying to stoke his conservative base, GOP Rep. Bob Barr will take a load of conservative leaders on a bus tour through the 7th District Saturday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. Along for the ride will be National Rifle Association Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre, radio host and convicted Watergate burglar G. Gordon Liddy, David Keene of the American Conservative Union and Grover Norquist of the Americans for Tax Reform, among others. Meanwhile, Barr's rival in the Aug. 20 GOP primary, Rep. John Linder, released a new ad Monday in which typical voters offer quick reasons why they support him.
